Munich: International webcasted conference

Organized for Bristol-Myers Squibb laboratories (BMS), the conference took place at the prestigious hostel Sheraton Munchen Arabellapark. In order to reach a wider audience as possible, the conference was broadcast live on the internet in three languages and with a live question / answer system. Artcast Medical, partner of the Canadian society 360 Medlink ensured the capture of flows to the streaming servers.

Bristol: 3D medical film on spine surgery

With its reputation in the field of live surgery, especially in 3D, Artcast Medical was again called by DePuy laboratories to ensure the realization of the first support training of spine surgery in 3D. The Annecy company worked indeed with the world giant of orthopedics and neuroscience at the May 2011 congress of Clinique Générale d’Annecy, which had held the first 3D orthopedic live surgery.

Annecy: 12 knee live surgery for the GECO

For the second time, Artcast Medical was asked by the Clinique Générale d’Annecy to ensure retransmission of operations at the Annecy Imperial Palace, on this occasion for a two-day conference on 29 and 30 September. Organized by the GECO (study group for bone surgery) and Dr. Thierry de Polignac, the meeting was about ligament and prosthetic knee surgery.

A screen of 24m² has been deployed in the conference room for projection (which was also installed an interactive video system allowing dynamic viewing of videos). The congress ended with two operations broadcast in 3D (multicamera).
Artcast Medical also ensured communication of the event by making the congress website.

3D spine animation for Spineart

In order to promote innovative solutions in spine surgery, the Swiss company Spineart asked Artcast Medical to complete an animation in computer graphics for their latest product: Yoda.

The achievement shows the 3D pose of the prosthesis with the preparation steps of the column and measurement. Completed by the titration and extracts of operations, the film provides a very easy understanding of the intervention.

Annecy : First orthopedic 3D HD live surgery !

Having been a pioneer of high definition filming in the live surgery field, Artcast creates again the initiative by being the instigator of an unprecedented event at the international level:

For the first time in the World at an orthopedic congress, 3D HD technology has been used for a multi-camera live broadcast of a knee prosthesis.

This congress was organized by Dr. P. Schifrine and Dr. T. De Polignac, with the support of the Depuy laboratory (Johnson & Johnson) and live coverage of the operation was transmittedfrom the operating room at the Clinique Générale d'Annecy to the Imperial Palace congress room: an exceptional place for a spectacular course.

Le Havre : shoulder arthroscopy

On 14 and 15 April was held the Arthrolive (meetings and experience sharing of arthroscopic shoulder surgeons) at the Hôpital privé de l’Estuaire du Havre.

Regarding rotator cuff repair and acromioclavicular disjunction under Dr. Courage’s direction, broadcasted workshops on dry bones allowed the testing of innovative techniques and instrumentation offered by the Arthrex company.
