What the surgeon sees, the room sees too.

The surgeon operates with their eyes in the console viewer, the only person who can see the field. We take that 3D endoscopic feed and broadcast, transmit and record it without degrading the picture.

THE PROBLEM

A picture locked inside a viewer.

Robot-assisted surgery poses a particular teaching problem: the whole procedure happens inside the console. The optics mounted at the tip of the endoscope give the surgeon a high-definition 3D view of the anatomy — but nobody else has access to it. Our job is to extract that feed and share it. We work with:

Intuitive Surgical — da Vinci®

Olympus

Karl Storz

Urology

Gastrointestinal

Gynaecology

Thoracic

ENT

THE SETUP

Three things to do, in this order.

Take the feed, carry it, display it. The theatre's own equipment stays untouched: we connect to the outputs provided for the purpose, never inserting ourselves into the surgical chain.

1

Taking the feed

Capture of the 3D endoscopic feed at the stack output, at its original resolution. Our broadcast mixer takes Intuitive Surgical, Olympus and Karl Storz outputs.

2

Transmission

Live delivery over internet or satellite to the congress hall, a remote theatre or an online audience. The dual feed is carried with no loss of sync.

3

Installation in the room

Physical installation of display screens in the operating theatre and the conference room. Stereoscopic projection with glasses supplied for the whole audience.

CONSTRAINTS

What we don't touch.

A surgical robot mid-procedure isn't equipment you improvise around. Eight rules our team applies every time.

CONSOLE

No work on the surgeon's console

OUTPUTS

Connected to the manufacturer's own video outputs

CLEARANCE

No cabling within reach of the robot's arms

FALLBACK

Can be pulled out instantly without stopping the procedure

PASSIVE

Our chain never enters the surgical circuit

EMC

Equipment compatible with the electromagnetic environment

ASEPSIS

Team trained in movement rules inside the sterile field

TESTING

Full check the day before, never on the day

COMPATIBILITY

3 brands

Intuitive Surgical, Olympus and Karl Storz. Our broadcast mixer takes their endoscopic outputs with no interface box in between.

EQUIPMENT

Works with what you already have.

Our broadcast equipment is compatible with the main 3D endoscopy brands on the market. You replace nothing and add no proprietary box to your theatre: we adapt to the installation already in place.

DELIVERY

HD 3D pictures live during the surgery

TRANSMISSION

Internet or satellite link, depending on the site

DISPLAY

Physical installation of screens in the theatre

RECORDING

Capture kept for replay and training

AND THEN

The robotic feed isn't only for the live.

Mixing with the other sources

The endoscopic feed alternates in the control room with the room cameras and console views. The audience understands the procedure and its context, not just the inside of the patient.

Robotic surgery training

Robot-assisted surgery training centres need clean, repeatable footage. We capture your teaching sessions the same way we capture your procedures.

Recording and VOD

Post-production, chaptering and publication on your platform. The 3D feed is kept at its original resolution for later teaching use.
