Artcast Medical takes the protection of personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we collect on this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you can exercise.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Data you provide

When you use our contact form or write to us directly, we collect your first and last name, your work email address, your organisation, your telephone number where given, along with the content of your message and the technical details of your project: dates, type of service, site constraints.

Required fields are marked with an asterisk in the form. All others are optional.

2.2 Data collected automatically

As you browse, we may collect your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you visit, the date and time of your connection, and the page you arrived from. This data is used for audience measurement and site security.

2.3 Health data

This website is not intended to collect health data. Please do not send any information relating to an identifiable patient through the contact form. Should such data reach us by mistake, it will be deleted without delay.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Responding to your enquiries and preparing a quote — pre-contractual steps taken at your request, and our legitimate interest in responding to prospective clients.
  • Managing the contractual relationship where a project goes ahead — performance of the contract.
  • Measuring and improving site usage — your consent, obtained via the cookie banner.
  • Keeping the site secure and preventing fraudulent use — legitimate interest.
  • Meeting our legal obligations, in particular accounting and tax requirements — legal obligation.

Your data is never used for unsolicited marketing.

4. Who receives your data

Your data is accessible only to authorised staff within Artcast Digital and its group companies, and only as far as their role requires.

It may be shared with the following technical providers, acting as processors and bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations:

  • Audience measurement: Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited

We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

Some of our providers may process your data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States for audience measurement. Such transfers are covered by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission, or by an adequacy decision. You may request a copy of these safeguards by writing to us.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries with no follow-up: 3 years from the last exchange.
  • Client data: for the duration of the business relationship, then 5 years after it ends.
  • Accounting records: 10 years, as required by the French Commercial Code.
  • Server logs: 12 months.
  • Audience measurement cookies: 13 months maximum; the resulting data is kept for 25 months.

7. Cookies

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit the site.

Strictly necessary cookies. These allow the site to work: security, remembering your language choice, storing your cookie preferences. They do not require your consent.

Audience measurement cookies. These help us understand how the site is used and improve it. They are only placed after you have given consent.

You can change your choices at any time through the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page, or by setting your browser to refuse cookies. Refusing non-essential cookies does not prevent you from using the site.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access: encrypted connections over HTTPS, access controls, regular updates and backups.

No transmission of data over the internet can be guaranteed as entirely secure. We advise against sending confidential information through the contact form.

9. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: to confirm whether your data is being processed and to receive a copy.
  • Right to rectification: to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • Right to erasure: to request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
  • Right to restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
  • Right to object to processing based on our legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation.
  • Right to portability: to receive the data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
  • Right to give instructions regarding your data after your death.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@artcast-medical.com or by post to the address given in section 1. Proof of identity may be requested where there is reasonable doubt. We respond within one month, extendable by two months for complex requests.

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority: Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, or online at www.cnil.fr.
